History of the Caboose
Built in the late 1800s to early 1900s, our caboose evolved from a four-wheel 'bobber' design to the eight-wheel type after Ohio laws changed in 1913. Originally crafted mainly of wood, steel reinforcements were added in the 1920s, classifying them as I-5 models.
